Twenty-seven Goose Creek CISD seventh graders recently qualified for state recognition in the Duke University Talent Identification Program after earning high scores on the Scholastic Aptitude Test.

Cedar Bayou Junior School Colton Kolaja also qualified for grand recognition, ranking in the top 2 percent of all Talent Search participants. To qualify for grand recognition, students must score 650 or higher on the math and/or verbal portions of the test, which is typically taken by college-bound high school students prior to college entry.
