Getting There The following directions are designed to help you get to sporting events involving Goose Creek CISD athletic teams. Thank you for your support of our schools while they are "on the road" and thanks to all visitors for supporting high school athletics!
FOOTBALL STADIUMS · Stallworth Stadium – located at the intersection of Archer Road and Sjolander Road in Baytown Stallworth Stadium is the home site for Robert E. Lee and Ross S. Sterling varsity football games. The stadium is located approximately one-half mile south of I-10. Traveling east from Houston, exit at North Main Street, go south to the first traffic light (Archer Road), and turn left. The stadium will be on the right approximately one mile from the Archer Road / North Main Street intersection. Traveling west from Beaumont, exit at Sjolander Road, go south to the first four-way stop sign and turn right. The stadium will be visible from the four-way stop sign at the intersection of Archer Road and Sjolander. Traveling from the south, take Hwy. 146 North over the Fred Hartman Bridge linking Baytown with LaPorte. Remain on Hwy. 146 (do not take Business Hwy. 146) after crossing the bridge. Take the North Main Street exit off of Hwy. 146 and turn left onto North Main. Travel north on North Main until reaching Archer Road. Turn right on Archer Road and Stallworth Stadium is approximately one mile from the Archer / North Main intersection.
· Pete Sultis Stadium (formerly Memorial Stadium) – located at the intersection of Martin Luther King (MLK) Drive (formerly Stadium Drive) and Gentry Road on the campus of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown Sultis Stadium is the home site for Robert E. Lee junior varsity, sophomore, and freshman football games and for REL boys' and girls' soccer matches. The stadium can be accessed from three directions. From the south, travel north on Hwy. 146, crossing the Fred Hartman Bridge into Baytown. Remain on Hwy. 146 North (do not take the Business 146 exit off the bridge) and exit at West Texas Avenue. Turn right onto West Texas Avenue to the first traffic light (intersection of Decker Drive, Texas Avenue, and Market Street) and turn right onto Market Street. Travel on Market one-fourth mile and turn left onto MLK Drive / Stadium Drive. The stadium will be on your left. From the east, travel west on I-10. Exit at Garth Road and turn left onto Garth. Travel approximately seven miles until Garth dead-ends into Decker Drive. Turn left onto Decker and remain on Decker as it turns into Market Street (Decker Drive, Market Street, and Texas Avenue converge at one intersection). Travel on Market one-fourth mile and turn left onto MLK Drive / Stadium Drive. The stadium will be on your left. From the west, travel east on I-10. Take the first Baytown exit (Spur 330). Spur 330 merges onto Decker Drive. Remain on Decker approximately five miles until Decker turns into Market Street (Decker, Market, and Texas Avenue converge at one intersection). Travel on Market one-fourth mile and turn left onto MLK Drive / Stadium Drive The stadium will be on your left.
· Sterling High Auxiliary Field - located behind Sterling High School, 300 West Baker Road in Baytown Sterling High School Field is the home site for Ross Sterling junior varsity, sophomore, and freshman football games and RSS boys' and girls' soccer. From the east of west, Sterling High School can be found by exiting off I-10 at Garth Road. Go south on Garth Road approximately three miles to Baker Road. Landmarks at the corner of Garth and Baker are Chevron/McDonald’s, Burger King, Shipley Donuts, and San Jacinto Hospital. Turn left on Baker and RSS is located approximately one-fourth mile on the left. Park in the west parking lot (left side as you face the front of the building) to access the athletic facilities. From the south, enter Baytown by crossing the Hartman Bridge on Hwy. 146. Remain on Hwy. 146 North (do not take the business route) and exit at Garth Road. Go left (north) on Garth until you reach Baker Road. Turn right on Baker and the school will be on your left.
HIGH SCHOOLS OF GOOSE CREEK CISD · Robert E. Lee High School – located at 1809 Market Street, Baytown To find REL, follow the directions above to Pete Sultis Stadium. The REL campus is adjacent to Sultis Stadium. The gymnasiums, natatorium, and auditorium are located on the east end of the REL campus.
· Ross S. Sterling High School – located at 300 West Baker Road, Baytown To find RSS, follow the directions above to Sterling High School Field. Park in the west parking lot (left side as you face the front of the building) to access the athletic facilities. The girls’ gymnasium is located inside the school. Other athletic facilities (Winnie Brown gym - boys' basketball, Winnie Brown Field - baseball, tennis courts, sub-varsity football, soccer, softball) are located on the west side or behind the school. From the south, enter Baytown by crossing the Hartman Bridge on Hwy. 146. Remain on Hwy. 146 North (do not take the business route) and exit at Garth Road. Go left (north) on Garth until you reach Baker Road. Turn right on Baker and the school will be on your left.
JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS OF GOOSE CREEK CISD · Horace Mann Junior – located at 310 South Alexander (business Hwy. 146), Baytown · · Baytown Junior – located at 7707 Bayway Drive, Baytown · · Highlands Junior – located at 1212 E. Wallisville Road, Highlands · · Cedar Bayou Junior – located at 2610 Cedar Bayou Road, Baytown · · Gentry Junior – located at 1919 E. DIRECTIONS TO OPPONENTS’ FOOTBALL STADIUMS & SCHOOLS · Port Arthur Memorial High School - (formerly Thomas Jefferson HS) - (Memorial Stadium) - 2200 Jefferson Drive - From Baytown take I-10 east toward Beaumont. Exit I-10 at Texas Hwy. 73. Travel east/south on Hwy. 73 until reaching Hwy. 347 (this is Twin City Highway and also referred to as Jefferson Drive). Turn right on Hwy. 347 and the school / stadium will be on your left. · · Beaumont West Brook High School – (Durley Stadium) – 8750 Phelan Blvd, Beaumont - From Baytown, travel east on I-10 toward Beaumont. Just past the Goodyear Plant (and before entering the Beaumont city limits) exit to FM 364 (exit 845). Turn left onto FM 364 (also called Major Drive) and continue to Phelan Blvd. Turn left onto Phelan. The school and stadium are located about a half mile on the right. · · Humble High School - (Turner Stadium - varsity football site for Humble HS and Kingwood HS) - From Baytown take I-10 west to Beltway 8. Go north on Beltway 8 until reaching Wilson Road. Turn right on Wilson Road and the stadium is located behind Humble High School.
· Charles Street Stadium (Humble ISD) — (site of sub-varsity football and soccer for Humble HS) - From Baytown take I-10 west to Beltway 8. Go north on Beltway 8 until reaching Wilson Road. (If you get to Hwy 59 you have gone too far on the Beltway.) Turn right on Wilson Road and travel past Humble High School. Turn left at the second traffic light past HHS (this is First Street). Travel to the second light and turn right (this is Charles Street). The field is on this street. If you pass a railroad track you have gone too far.
· Kingwood High School (sub-varsity football and all other sports) - (2701 Kingwood Drive) - From Baytown take I-10 west to Beltway 8. Take Beltway 8 north to Lake Houston Parkway (this is the entrance to Summerwood). Take Lake Houston Parkway to Kingwood Drive (you will cross over Hwy 1960 and continue on Lake Houston Parkway. Turn left on Kingwood Drive and KHS will be on your right approximately 1/2 mile from the intersection of Lake Houston Parkway and Kingwood Drive. · · Spring High School - (Spring ISD Stadium - varsity football site for Spring HS and Westfield HS) - From Baytown take I-10 west to Beltway 8. Go north on Beltway 8 until reaching I-45. Go north on I-45 to Holtzworth Road. Turn right on Holtzworth and Spring Stadium is on the left behind Spring High School. · · Alvin High School – (Alvin Memorial Stadium) – From Baytown, travel south on Hwy. 146 to NASA Road 1. Turn right on NASA Road 1 and continue over I-45 and past the traffic lights at Hwy. 35 Bypass until reaching Hwy. 35. Turn left on Hwy. 35 and continue to House Street. Take a right on House Street until it dead ends at Johnson. Turn left on Johnson and travel one block to Stadium Drive. Turn right on Stadium Drive. · · Clear Lake High School, Clear Creek High School, Clear Brook High School (varsity football – Clear Creek District Stadium) – From Baytown, travel south on Hwy. 146 and cross over the Kemah Bridge. Turn right onto FM 2094 (the second light past the bridge) and continue toward League City. The stadium is located just past League City Intermediate on FM 2094. · · Pasadena HS, Pasadena Rayburn HS, Pasadena Dobie HS, Pasadena Memorial HS, South Houston HS (varsity football - Pasadena Memorial Stadium) - From Baytown, travel south on Hwy. 146 over the Fred Hartman Bridge. Once over the bridge, exit onto Hwy. 225 and travel through Deer Park to the Beltway 8 exit. Turn left onto Beltway 8 and continue on the beltway (or feeder road to bypass paying a toll) to Spencer Highway. Turn right onto Spencer until reaching Bayshore. Turn right onto Bayshore and continue until reaching the stadium. · · LaPorte High School - From Baytown take Hwy. 146 South over the Fred Hartmann Bridge. Exit at Fairmont Parkway and turn left under Hwy. 146. LaPorte HS and stadium are located approximately one mile from Hwy. 146 on the left. · · Spring Branch ISD football - (Tully Stadium) - From Baytown, travel west on I-10. Exit I-10 at Dairy-Ashford and turn left. Tully Stadium is located two blocks from I-10 on the left. · · Katy ISD football – (Jack Rhodes Stadium) – From Baytown, travel west on I-10 to Katy. Take the Katy – Fort Bend exit and turn right. The stadium is located on the left. (A Beltway 8 option requiring paying tolls may be chosen to avoid Friday afternoon traffic on I-10 West – the Katy Freeway) · · North Shore High School (353 N. Castlegory) - From Baytown, travel west on I-10 to Beltway 8. Go north on Beltway 8 to the Wallisville exit. Turn left on Wallisville until reaching Castlegory. Turn right on Castlegory and North Shore HS and football stadium will be 1/2 mile away on the left. · · Deer Park High School – (Abshire Stadium) – From Baytown, travel south on Hwy 146, exiting onto Hwy 225 after crossing the Hartman Bridge. Continue on Hwy 225 to the Center Street exit. Turn left onto Center Street. Travel on Center Street until "P" Street. Turn right onto "P" Street to access stadium parking. · · Beaumont Central HS football – (Babe Zaharias Stadium) – From Baytown, travel east on I-10 to Beaumont. In Beaumont, exit at Gulf Street/MLK. Turn onto Gulf and travel to Caldwell Avenue. Turn left on Caldwell; the stadium is located about two blocks away on the right. · · Alief ISD football – (Crump Stadium) – From Baytown, travel west on I-10 toward Houston. In Houston, exit at Dairy Ashford. Turn left onto Dairy Ashford and continue past Tully Stadium until reaching Alief-Clodine.
