Registration
Registration will be held during the summer for junior school
and high school students new to GCCISD or who have moved to
a residence in a different GCCISD attendance zone over the summer.
Student/parents new to GCCISD should pick up a registration
packet at the locations listed below and schedule an appointment
for the registration process. Parents may also call the number
listed below to schedule an appointment. The parent(s)
or legal guardian must accompany the student for the registration
process. |

Elementary
registration set for August
Prekindergarten registration for Goose Creek CISD students will
be Aug. 5, 6, and 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Baytown Community
Center. Summer registration for students in kindergarten through
fifth grade who are new to GCCISD will be held Aug. 12, 13,
and 14 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at all GCCISD elementary campuses.

Day in Washington, D.C., next month after winning top honors
at the State History Day May 3. |

GCCISD will implement a Board-approved random drug-testing program
for high school students at the start of the 2008-09 school
year.

Lee's
Daniel Hernandez to compete in national contest
Daniel Hernandez, a Lee High School senior and student in the
auto collision repair program at Stuart Career Center, won first
place in the state SkillsUSA contest in Corpus Christi April
3 and 4. He will advance to the National SkillsUSA contest
in Kansas City, Missouri, June 22 through 26. |

Williams earn top ratings
Lee High School seniors Juan Herrera and Christopher Williams
earned superior ratings for their architectural computer-aided
drafting project at the SkillsUSA state competition. |

Moreno wins second in auto refinishing
Eli Moreno, a Sterling High School junior and student in the
auto collision repair program at Stuart Career Center, won second
place in the state automotive refinishing contest. |
