Substitute Classroom Teacher/Librarian/Nurse-College Degree and a Texas Teaching Certificate; or College Degree only; Minimum of 60 college credit hours or Associate Degree

Substitute Aide - High School Diploma; or Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED)

Steps to Employment:

1. Submit online Substitute Application.

2. Attend a Substitute Orientation Session
(you will be contacted with a date and time).

3. Bring the following documents to the
Substitute Orientation Session:

•

Original Social Security Card and Photo ID (driver's license or passport) - for payroll purposes

•

Official college transcripts showing all coursework and degrees earned. If you hold a degree from a foreign university, please provide a copy of your transcript evaluation from an approved transcript evaluation service

•

Photocopy of high school diploma or GED (Substitute Aides only)

•

Photocopy of valid Texas Teaching Certificate (if applicable)

•

All new Substitutes must bring the following forms to the session:

• Employment Eligibility Form (I-9)

• W-4 Form

• Eligibility to Participate in RAMS Form

• RAMS Beneficiary Form

• Reasonable Assurance Form

• Acceptance of Employment Form

• Substitute Personnel Handbook Notice

• Substitute Staff Calling Information Form
