Recognition for FFA Achievements

Randal O’Brien (left), Goose Creek CISD superintendent, and Al Richard (right), Goose Creek CISD board president, recognize Jordan Gwaltney (second from left) and Kylie Gwaltney (second from right), Goose Creek Memorial High School students, for being awarded Lone Star Degrees at the 89th Texas State FFA Convention. To earn these degrees, students must meet many requirements, including earning and investing at least $1,000, being in a leadership role and serving 25 hours of community service. Teacher Kami Johnston (middle) was awarded a School Bell Award from Goose Creek CISD for supervising students who placed in a state competition.
