MATHCOUNTS Students Enjoy Banquet

Reese Benoit and Hanna Coker, sixth-graders at Cedar Bayou Junior School, enjoy the MATHCOUNTS Banquet. Goose Creek CISD’s MATHCOUNTS meet was held in January at Horace Mann Junior School. Forty-five students advanced to the Regional MATHCOUNTS meet at Space Center Houston February 17. The Highlands Junior School team of Swayam Gupta, Atharv Shinde, Arin Sood and Anushka Ranjan, under the direction of coaches Kirti Kulkarni and Lindsey Hampton, placed second and is advancing to the State MATHCOUNTS meet March 24 in Austin. Gentry Junior School placed third.
