In accordance with federal and state laws, GCCISD provides special education services to students who have been evaluated with a full, individual evaluation (FIE) and have been determined by an Admissions, Review and Dismissal (ARD) committee to meet the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) and Texas Education Agency (TEA) eligibility criteria as having a disability condition; and,  require specialized instruction to receive a free and appropriate education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment (LRE).
