Welcome to Alamo Elementary!

Alamo Elementary School, like the landmark after which it is named,
has a proud history. Established in Baytown in 1929, the campus of approximately 530 students is made strong by the tremendous commitment of its teachers, staff members, and parents.
"Alamo Aims for Excellence" is the motto of the Eagles who soar
toward excellence in their educational pursuits.

Our mission and goals...

The entire staff of Alamo Elementary is strongly committed to the
belief that each student can and will achieve academically, regardless of previous academic performance, socioeconomic background, family, race, or sex. We accept the responsibility to provide a program which will enable each student to reach the maximum educational potential, while at the same time helping to develop respect for themselves, others, and our country.

Our programs and activities...

Alamo is home to students in grades pre-kindergarten through five,
with Title 1, SILC, life skills, PASS, resource, inclusion, speech therapy, and dyslexia programs designed to meet the needs of every student. The Kiwanis Club serves as Alamo's Partner in Education through the Baytown Chamber of Commerce Program, offering support in many different ways to our children and employees.
Alamo is also very proud of its successful PTO and Parent Volunteer Program.

Other programs offered at Alamo are...

  • In-school tutoring
  • After school tutorials
  • Host campus for Special Olympics
  • Family Involvement Coordinator
  • HOPE Team
  • Flying High Award

A message from our principal...

The Alamo family is committed to academic excellence as well as building well-rounded individuals. We will utilize our community resources, including parents and our Partners in Education, to ensure a positive school climate enabling us to achieve our mission.

We will continue to "Aim for Excellence" as we develop lifelong learners. Come see the great things we are doing at Alamo.
