The Career Academies of GCCISD - SCTHS Advanced Automotive Career Academy Logo

Automotive & Collision Repair Technicians are one of the top 25 high-growth, high-skill, occupations in Texas. In the Advanced Automotive Academy, students learn the skills required to begin a successful career in the automotive and collision repair industries. Academic and technical classes combine automotive workplace knowledge and skills in an integrated curriculum using an ASE Education Foundation certified facility. Partnering with Lee College, students can earn both high school and college credit for many of their academic and technical courses. Four years in the Advanced Automotive Academy will lead students to a Business & Industry Endorsement, a college associate degree or certificate, along with Performance Acknowledgments for earning Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and ICAR certifications. Seniors may participate in internships, and scholarships are available to graduates.
