Speak at a Board Meeting

The Goose Creek CISD Board of Trustees welcomes community involvement and values hearing from students, parents, staff, and residents. If you would like to address the Board during a public meeting, please review the information below regarding speaker registration, time limits, and meeting procedures.

Public Comment

Audience participation at a Board meeting is limited to the designated public comment portion of the agenda.

Speaker Registration

Individuals wishing to address the Board must register with the presiding officer or designee before the meeting begins and indicate the topic they wish to discuss.

Time Limits

Each speaker is allotted up to three minutes to address the Board. Groups of more than five individuals should designate one spokesperson to present their comments.

Board Deliberation

The Board may provide factual information or clarification regarding district policies. However, in accordance with Texas Open Meetings requirements, the Board cannot deliberate or take action on items that are not listed on the posted agenda.
