District leaders and architect employees break ground on robotics center

The district held the groundbreaking ceremony on August 13th for the new Robotics Center to a crowd of eager district administrators and excited community leaders. The building, which is set to open within the next two years, is nestled directly across the street from the Stuart Career Technical High School. Goose Creek has had a successful Robotics program spread out amongst several campuses for many years. The creation of the Robotics Center will ensure that students who are interested in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) field will have a place to call home. These students will be the world’s next inventors, scientists, doctors, and educators. Renea Dillon, Director of CTE, stated, “Our students are changing the world and this new facility will ensure that they, the district, and the community will continue to be successful for many years to come.”
