Texas Educators Excellence Award Grant San Jacinto Elementary

Welcome to San Jacinto Elementary!

The faculty and staff at San Jacinto Elementary are dedicated to helping our students succeed.  We focus on the future of each student by providing a nurturing and challenging environment.  Each one of our 490 students is given a wide variety of educational experiences developed to meet his or her individual needs.  Our campus has over forty instructional and support staff members and numerous programs designed especially with the needs of our students in mind.  Our faculty and staff are enthusiastic about helping our students develop the skills they need to meet the challenging years ahead.

Our beliefs, mission, and goals...

It is our belief that every student is capable of learning and can be taught. Therefore, San Jacinto’s primary mission is to provide the opportunity for all children to develop to their full intellectual, physical, and social potential in order to become productive and contributing citizens in their community.

San Jacinto Elementary is "Sizzling with Success." We set high expectations for each student. The faculty and staff at San Jacinto are prepared to help each child reach those expectations through the numerous programs designed to help our students succeed. Our primary goals are to improve student achievement, improve student attendance, and increase parental involvement.

To succeed in this mission, we have developed the following goals:

  • Ninety percent of the students taking the TAKS test will achieve mastery on all tests.
  • Analysis of TAKS data will be used for planning of the instructional program.
  • Staff development will be provided for TAKS specifications and teaching strategies.
  • A self-esteem and discipline program will be implemented to help students make positive choices.
  • Parental and community involvement will be an integral part of the total educational program at San Jacinto.
