Members of the Stuart Career Center staff (along with Stuart Career Tech High School) enjoyed a luncheon, sponsored by Beacon Federal Credit Union and catered by Luna’s, for being one of the schools with the highest percentage, close to 100 percent, of the staff donating to the Goose Creek CISD Education Foundation’s Get On the Bus campaign. This is the second consecutive year that SCC has been one of the top schools in participation. The Education Foundation awards grants through the Grant Surprise Patrol to help teachers enhance the curriculum for their students as well as recognizes teaching excellence with the Students Choice Awards. To date, more than $830,000 has been awarded in innovative teaching grants.
