The Fitness Center was designed to promote a healthy lifestyle where employees can exercise and meet their fitness goals.   • The Goose Creek CISD New Teacher Induction Program is designed to support the professional growth and classroom success of all first-year teachers. The program offers one-to-one mentorship, a campus book study on classroom management, and invaluable support from former GCCISD principals. The New Teacher Induction Program’s purpose is to provide each new teacher with the tools and guidance needed to thrive in their teaching journey and make a positive impact on the lives of their students.   • Goose Creek CISD has partnerships with local colleges and universities, as well as online Alternative Certification Programs, to assist employees on their way to obtaining a Standard Teaching Certificate. Employees seeking certification can benefit from close relationships with these programs, as well as in-person test prep sessions and access to online test prep tools.

  • Goose Creek CISD provides the resources and equipment necessary for teachers to maintain an engaging and interactive learning environment. We are a 1:1 district, providing every student and teacher with an iPad in addition to quality technology in every classroom including Promethean boards and Apple TVs. Our Educational Technology team provides unmatched support on the use of provided devices and available software. See their work in action on Facebook and Instagram.

     

    In addition to technology resources, Goose Creek CISD teachers benefit from strong curriculum support at multiple levels. From the Teaching and Learning Coaches at the campus level, to District Specialists in each content at the district level, all teachers are provided with the curricular resources needed to be successful in the classroom. Additionally, Professional Learning Community (PLC) Days are built into the district’s calendar, allowing teachers to collaborate and plan with campus and districtwide teams.

  • At Goose Creek CISD we prioritize employee wellness. This includes providing adequate breaks for our staff to recharge. In addition to traditional school breaks, Goose Creek CISD teachers receive a week-long break in October and two days in February.
