Student Places at Texas FFA Leadership Development Event Competition

Reagan Richard (second from right), from IMPACT Early College High School and Ross S. Sterling High School (FFA), is recognized at a recent board meeting for representing Goose Creek CISD at the Texas FFA Leadership Development Event Competition. She qualified for the state competition in Greenhand Creed Speaking, finishing 9th place in the 2nd heat. More than 5,500 students began the state-wide tournament in 13 different leadership events. Reagan is the student and daughter of Lawrence Richard (second from left), agriculture science teacher at Sterling. Congratulating her are Randal O’Brien (left), Goose Creek CISD superintendent, and Pete Pape (right), Goose Creek CISD board president.
