The Texas Education Agency recently provided updated guidance on virtual learning. 

As part of our goal to ensure an effective learning environment for your child, campuses will be reviewing your student’s attendance and/or academic performance during virtual learning.

Students who have three (3) or more unexcused absences or any grade below 70 in one or more courses will no longer be eligible to participate in virtual learning.

Beginning December 7, students who do not meet the criteria must return to their home campus for face-to-face instruction.

In the future, students who want to participate in virtual learning must meet the above referenced criteria.

Decisions on academic placement are final with the exception of the following:

• Submitting a medical exemption
• Requesting a transition hearing
