Travis Elementary Enjoys "Chocolate Tank" Event
04/02/2018
Ruben Capetillo (left) and Rylee Gamboa are recognized as team winners in the recent “Chocolate Tank” competition at Travis Elementary. Based on the television show “Shark Tank,” the activity followed up the study of the novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl in Mrs. Contreras’ fourth-grade class. Students designed a never-before-seen candy that Willy Wonka would want to create and sell, wrote a persuasive speech and created a poster with a drawing of their candy creation. After presenting to a panel of judges, including Randal O’Brien, Goose Creek CISD superintendent (back); other administrators and the librarian, the winners received prizes.
