Foundation Graduation Plan

All GCCISD students will enter under the new 26-credit Distinguished Level of Achievement (DLA) Graduation Plan with an endorsement and plan to take Algebra II at the appropriate time, which will make them eligible for automatic admission into state universities if they graduate in the top 10% of their class.

Endorsements will help create a personal graduation plan in line with each student’s educational goals and career interests. Families will be given a breakdown of options to assist them in selecting a high school endorsement and a course sequence to meet its requirements. Students will be allowed the flexibility to switch endorsements and course sequences as they refine their educational goals and career interests as long as they have enough time left in high school to complete their new goals. Upon entering their junior year, students may opt out of the DLA Plan and/or endorsements under careful guidance and parent permission.

Students enrolled in high school prior to the 2014-15 school year can elect to graduate under the new Foundation Graduation Plan with endorsements if they are able to meet the new requirements before high school graduation.
