Former Goose Creek CISD students who entered high school prior to the 2011-2012 school year and have not received their high school diploma due to not passing the state assessment(s) still have an opportunity to earn a high school diploma.

The last school attended must have been in Goose Creek CISD. Students must meet the following criteria:

  1. Entered grade 9 before the 2011-2012 school year
  2. Successfully completed the curriculum requirements for high school graduation
  3. Tested on the required exit-level subject-area test(s) at least three times and not performed satisfactorily
  4. Met the alternative requirements for graduation

Students who are interested in pursuing their high school diplomas and meet the requirements listed above may contact Peter E. Hyland Center at 281-420-4555 or go directly to the campus. Beginning June 6, 2018, the campus will register students and provide the project that must be completed. Students will have this opportunity to achieve a high school diploma over the 2018-2019 school year. This is a one-year opportunity provided by the state.
