Enroll Today at Goose Creek CISD: The District of Choice

Goose Creek CISD is excited to announce that, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, the district will become an open-enrollment district, creating new opportunities for both current families and families living outside district boundaries to explore the schools and programs that best fit their students’ interests and goals.

Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are open from May 11, 2026 until June 30, 2026. Complete the below interest survey to receive personalized support in identifying the best opportunity for your student in Goose Creek CISD.

Families will be notified of their placement from July 20, 2026, to July 30, 2026.

After completing the interest survey, a representative from the Student Services Department will be in contact. Please do not complete any enrollment documents until your request has been verified and approved.

Approval is based on campus space, staffing availability, and the student’s discipline, academic, and attendance records. Transfer students are expected to follow all district rules and expectations, and violations may impact current or future transfer approval.

Please note that Goose Creek CISD does not provide transportation for transfer students. Families are responsible for transportation to and from school.

Under Local Policy FDA, non-resident students of GCCISD must apply annually, and transfers are granted one year at a time. Approval depends on campus space, campus staffing, and the student’s discipline, academic, and attendance records. Transfer students must follow all district rules, and violations may affect current and future approval. The district does not provide transportation; families are responsible for getting students to and from school.

  • The intent of open enrollment is not to serve as a recruiting tool for athletics, and it is a direct violation of UIL rules for coaches to use it in that manner. Open enrollment opportunities are intended to support student academic needs, and Goose Creek CISD will continue to follow all UIL policies and guidelines related to student eligibility.

Students participating through open enrollment must still complete any required application, approval, or program-specific processes currently in place. In addition, all UIL eligibility rules will continue to apply to students who transfer through open enrollment, which could include up to 365 days of varsity ineligibility in certain circumstances. More information regarding UIL eligibility requirements is available at www.uiltexas.org/policy/eligibility.
