Goose Creek CISD to broadcast summer graduation

Diplomas will be awarded to 21 graduating seniors from three Goose Creek CISD high schools at the district’s summer commencement.

The graduates will walk the stage of Baytown Junior School Auditorium at the Friday, Aug. 19 ceremony. The commencement begins at 7 p.m.

“Summer graduation is a unique and special graduation for Goose Creek CISD,” said Peter E. Hyland Center Principal Michelle Verdun. “This special graduation gives Goose Creek graduates an opportunity to participate in a graduation ceremony if, for some reason, were not able to participate in their home campus regular May graduation.”
Loved ones unable to attend the summer graduation ceremony will be able to watch this year’s graduation live via the Web.

Goose Creek CISD will have live video footage of the graduation ceremonies available on the Web site, www.gccisd.net
