Congratulations to Margie Grimes, Chief Financial Officer for Goose Creek CISD, on her retirement. Margie attended Stephen F. Austin Elementary, Cedar Bayou Junior, and Sterling High School as a student. In her career, she worked at La Porte ISD and North East ISD with a combined 8 years of service. She left the education sector and worked for the City of Mont Belvieu as Director of Finance for 10 years. She has served Goose Creek CISD for nine years serving as Director of Finance for a year and then Chief Financial Officer for 8 years.

During her retirement, Margie plans on enjoying her family including babysitting her new granddaughter a couple of days a week, traveling, golfing, and cycling.

“I’m not sad it’s over, just happy to be part of the Goose Creek CISD Team! Guess I saved the best for last, GCCISD is on the move!” Thank you for your service and congratulations!
