Giant Alumnus of the Month

Our Giant Alumnus of the Month for March 2022 is Dr. Adriane Ramirez Garcia. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1997 but also attended Bowie Elementary and Cedar Bayou Junior.

Dr. Garcia has dedicated her life to pediatric and newborn medicine. In 2014, she was named Physician of the Year at Memorial Hermann of The Woodlands. She serves as the Medical Director of Pediatric and Newborn Medicine and works at Conroe Regional Hospital, Houston Northwest Hospital, and Memorial Hermann Hospital of the Woodlands. Dr. Adriane Garcia has been influential in saving the lives of pediatric patients since she began her career as a pediatrician. Due to COVID, she was tasked with counting pediatric beds available in the entire city of Houston to care for sick children. She participated in the City of Houston’s “Let's Beat COVID” webinars to help families overcome the challenges of parenting teenagers during the pandemic. Dr. Garcia gives back to the Goose Creek CISD community by partnering with the Health Science Academy to speak with students about becoming a pediatric doctor or studying medicine.
