GCM Math Team Heads to State at the University of Texas

The Goose Creek Memorial High School Math Team, under the direction of coach Byoung Kang, advanced to the State Academic UIL competition in three events and will be competing on-site at the University of Texas at Austin on the May 6-7th.

Team members include Swayam Gupta, Arin Sood, Atharv Shinde and Puneet Singh. Gupta received third place Number Sense (individual), first place Calculator Applications (individual), first place Mathematics (individual), second place Number Sense (team), and second place Calculator Applications (team). Sood received second place Number Sense (individual), second place Number Sense (team), and second place Calculator Applications (team). Shinde received second place Number Sense (team) and second place Calculator Applications (team). Singh received second place Number Sense (team) and second place Calculator Applications (team).
