Lester Felder

Giant Alumnus of the Month

Our Giant Alumnus of the Month for May 2022 is Lester Felder. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1985 after attending Austin Elementary and Cedar Bayou Junior. Lester holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental design and architecture from Texas A&M University. He is a senior project manager architect at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus at the University of Texas. The J.J. Pickle Research Campus seeks to link public and private sectors to support excellence in science, engineering, and technology; Lester oversees a project management team. In addition, he serves as the liaison for the Cockrell School of Engineering, an assignment he has held for more than fourteen years. Lester has over twenty-seven years of architectural and construction experience, sixteen of which have been at the University of Texas. Lester is a certified LEED Green Associate and a member of the Construction Owners Association of America. He volunteers and supports many local organizations in the Leander community. He is also a member of the Architectural Controls Committee of the Caballo Ranch Neighborhoods. Thank you to Houston Methodist Baytown for sponsoring this award.
