Goose Creek CISD held their ribbon cutting for the district’s new Robotics Center on October 20th. Located across the street from the Stuart Career Technical High School, the new facility will serve as a hub for the district’s robotics program, which includes the award-winning Blarglefish team. The building was, designed by Stantec and constructed by Comex Corporation, will introduce K-12 students to the STEM field and provide them with additional opportunities for learning and exploration.

Dr. Demetrius McCall, Deputy Superintendent for Administrative Services and leader of this project, praised the district for their support of this project. “I would like to thank Dr. O’Brien and the Board for their support of this project from its inception to now,” he said. “Being on the cutting edge of technology is one of the many attributes that sets us apart from other educational entities, and now we can add this new facility to that list. This is not just for our children, but for all children.”

Dr. Randal O’Brien, Superintendent of Schools, was just as proud of the new facility. “We are so proud of our new Robotics Center and we know that it will be a beacon of success for our students and community for many years to come.”
