Congratulations to Dr. Alicia Babin, new principal at Edward Franklin "EF" Green Junior School.

Dr. Babin is an educator and life-long learner whose core values directly align with the mission of Goose Creek CISD. As she enters her seventh year with the district, she reflects on those years as well as the expanse of her educational experiences as an ELA teacher, team lead, department chairperson, lead mentor, campus testing coordinator, teacher of the year, and assistant principal. Her zeal for authentic learning and growth in each student is evidenced, in part, as she resolved to leave her collegiate educational and administrative roles to invest in K-12 students and families.
Alicia wholeheartedly honors and appreciates her family. She is married to Marcus and is the mother to their three children: Jeremiah, Emani, and Joshua. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Remington College, master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from University of Texas at Arlington, and doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
"I am humbled and honored to be a part of the E.F. Green Junior School family where his legacy lives on. Education is essential and must be intentional. I look forward to this being the school that every family wants their child to attend and all stakeholders are the better because we are purposefully here!”
