The College Board, in recognition of exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement (AP) examinations, has named 47 Goose Creek CISD students at AP Scholars.

After completing challenging college-level courses at their high schools, students take AP exams during the month of May. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on the number of courses and exams. Listed below are the students who attained various levels of achievement. These students were recognized at the Goose Creek CISD Board meeting on November 13, 2023.

AP Scholar Award – Students qualified by completing three or more AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher. The following students earned the AP Scholar Award: Owen Baker, Kalaisha Jacobs, Aidan Barboza, Emelia Greenaway, Jazmyn Koenst, Mariam Malhi, Khoi Nguyen, Simran Singh, Margarita Barajas Herrera, Rubi Gusman, Shandon Conley, Tyler Crow, Eric Cuellar, Gisela Garcia, Alexes Morfin, Paulina Rios, Dahlia Ruiz, Pilar Tamez, Madeline Turner, Leslie Valkner, Michael Bornholdt, Bryleigh Hollomon, Cassidy Rogers, Evan Butler, John Greer, Keira Hazell, Halayna Jones, Anh Nguyen, Brittney Romero, Samad Abdul, Melissa Rodriguez, Moriah Shuttlesworth, Damaris Sifuentes, and Jie Zheng.

AP Scholar with Honor Award - Students earned an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. The following students earned the AP Scholar with Honor Award: Daphne Bailey, Andrea Lopez, and Emma Jaramillo.

AP Scholar with Distinction Award - Students earned an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. The following students earned the AP Scholar with Distinction Award: Harsh Agrawal, Swayam Gupta, Arin Sood, Canon Cockrell, Corinna Levy, Reese Benoit, Hanna Coker, Aric Buehring, and Brock Glasscock.
