The 2024 Goose Creek CISD Rodeo Art Show opened on January 8, 2024, and concluded on January 25, 2024. A reception was held on its final public viewing weekday, honoring the student artists – from kindergarten to 12th grade - and faculty members from across the district.

Dr. Randal O’Brien, James ‘Jim’ Campisi, Richard Clem, Matt Flood, and Ray Lavan presented the awards, such as Best Show to Marco Villarreal and his teacher, Johnna Morris.
This year featured over 300 entries for the district competition. The top winners are encouraged to enter the statewide Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo student art competition in March. GCCISD had 4 pieces earn Gold Medal Awards, 3 pieces earn Best of Show Awards, and 1 piece earn the Special Merit Award. At the reception, Mr. Ray Lavan, Director of Fine Arts, also presented his Director’s Choice Awards and Dr. Randal O’Brien, GCCISD superintendent of schools, presented his Superintendent’s Choice Awards.
