Dear Goose Creek CISD Families,

As part of our ongoing efforts to address organizational challenges and ensure the effective operation of our school district, we have appointed an interim Chief of Police, Kirk W. Bonsal.

Kirk Bonsal

Kirk W. Bonsal is a distinguished alumnus of the FBI National Academy and holds an advanced instructor certification from the TCOLE. With over 36 years in law enforcement, he currently serves as the Chief Deputy at Harris County Precinct 3 Constable's Office, leading an agency of over 200 employees, including 188 sworn officers. Before his current role, Bonsal was the Administrative Captain responsible for Internal Affairs, Professional Development, Accreditation, and Training. He assumed his current position in December 2017. Before joining the Precinct 3 Constable's Office, he worked as a Lieutenant Investigator at the Harris County District Attorney's Office, the third-largest prosecutors' office in the U.S. His unit focused on investigating police-involved shootings, use-of-force incidents, and in-custody deaths.
