Goose Creek CISD is excited to announce the new Chief of Police, Stewart Russell of Houston, Texas. Russell served in the Pasadena ISD Police Department for 31 years, and 13 years as the Chief of Police. His most recent assignment and recommendation comes from Waco ISD, where he has served as their Interim Chief of Police for the last few months.

Russell earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University with a focus in Finance. He is a Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, Leadership Command College graduate and is certified as a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Master Peace Officer, TCOLE Training Coordinator, TCOLE Instructor, and TCOLE Firearms Instructor.
As he introduced his leadership to the new chief, GCCISD Superintendent Dr. Randal O’Brien emphasized Russell’s vast experience and public education policing background, which made him an ideal candidate for the position, “We want to welcome Chief Russell, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this important leadership position. We are excited to see how he will prepare our police force to exceed the standards of professionalism and customer service expected by our school community.”
