Congratulations to Dr. Tricia Times, recently appointed as the new Director of Safe and Secure Schools! Dr. Times brings a wealth of experience to this role, having served Goose Creek CISD as an Educational Diagnostician, Special Education Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Her background also includes unique qualifications for safety and security, with prior positions as a Federal and State Correctional Officer, along with 23 years of distinguished military service in Health Service Management, Career Counseling, and Logistics.

Dr. Times has dedicated 23 years to the field of education, including 18 years in Goose Creek CISD and five years in Port Arthur ISD. A graduate of Lamar University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Education in Special Education, Superintendent Certification, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Additionally, she earned an Associate degree in Health Care Management from the Community College of the Air Force.
Dr. Times has been married to her husband, Kevin, for 28 years, and they have one daughter, Karissa, a registered nurse in Seattle, Washington. An only child, Dr. Times is the daughter of Ruby Doomes. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and reading.
