Congratulations to Jennifer Fierro on being named the new Director of Counseling and College & Career Readiness!
With extensive experience in education spanning various leadership roles, Jennifer Fierro brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student success. Most recently, Mrs. Fierro has served as the principal of Highlands Junior. Prior to that, she served in various leadership roles outside of and within Goose Creek CISD, including high school principal, assistant principal, academic dean and counselor. Her journey in education began in the classroom as a junior high and high school English teacher before transitioning into school counseling and administration.
A proud graduate of Lamar University, Mrs. Fierro earned her bachelor’s degree in Education in 1996, followed by a master’s degree in Counseling and Development in 2006. She further advanced her expertise by earning both her administrative and superintendent certifications.
Mrs. Fierro is passionate about expanding college and career opportunities for students and ensuring that secondary counselors are equipped to guide students toward postsecondary success.
