Each year, seniors reflect on their journey and honor the teachers who have shaped their lives in meaningful ways. This year, more than 490 nominations were submitted, highlighting the deep connections between students and their educators. The honorees were recognized during an emotional evening featuring personal student testimonials, video tributes, and awards presented by district and foundation leaders.
“Tonight, we celebrate teachers who go beyond academics to inspire, encourage, and uplift their students,” said Dr. Randal O’Brien, Superintendent of Schools. “These educators have shaped the futures of countless young minds, and we are honored to recognize their dedication.”
The event featured a special video the Goose Creek CISD Community Engagement Team produced, capturing the heartfelt stories of students and their teachers. The ceremony also acknowledged the ongoing support of the Education Foundation, which has contributed more than $2 million to Goose Creek CISD, including over $1.9 million in grants for innovative teaching initiatives.
“We are proud to recognize these incredible teachers who exemplify excellence in education,” said Adelina Gomez-Abshire, President of the Education Foundation. “Their passion and commitment to student success embody the mission of the Foundation—to enrich teaching, inspire learning, and maximize opportunities for all students.”
In addition to the honoree recognitions, the Foundation highlighted its upcoming Día del Niño celebration, an annual spring fundraiser dedicated to supporting cultural enrichment for Goose Creek CISD students.
The Goose Creek CISD Education Foundation extends its gratitude to event sponsors, including Aramark, Awards & Engraving, Pfluger Architects, and Texas Roadhouse, as well as the dedicated community members, students, and district staff who made the evening a success.
