Located at 2610 N. Alexander Drive in Baytown, the modern facility was designed to serve as a hub for professional development, collaboration, and community engagement. The event drew educators, local leaders, and business partners eager to explore the state-of-the-art space.

Superintendent Dr. Randal O’Brien opened the evening by emphasizing the importance of the center as both an educational resource and a community gathering place. Guests were encouraged to tour the facility, connect with district leaders, and envision the many ways the space will strengthen partnerships across Baytown and beyond.

“This facility was designed as a space for professional development, collaboration, and community gatherings, and we are thrilled to open its doors and share it with you,” said Leslie Garcia, Special Projects and Professional Development Coordinator.

The evening, sponsored by PBK Architects and Patients ER, included light bites and refreshments courtesy of Ed’s Bistro, as well as a special prize drawing for attendees who entered with their business cards. Guests also had the opportunity to explore the flexible design features of the new space.

The Open House highlighted GCCISD’s ongoing commitment to innovation, professional development, and community engagement.

“This Event Center is a reflection of our investment in educators, students, and the Baytown community,” said Dr. O’Brien.

The Goose Creek CISD Professional Development and Event Center will host district professional development sessions, staff training, and community events throughout the year. In addition, the facility is available for non-district use, offering community organizations, businesses, and individuals a modern venue for meetings, workshops, and special events.
