Giant Alumnus of the Month
Our Giant Alumnus of the Month for October 2025 is Malcolm Ruben, a proud member of the Robert E. Lee High School Class of 2011.
Malcolm graduated with honors from Robert E. Lee High School, where he excelled both on and off the field—shining as a star football player and earning the title of Homecoming King. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Colorado State University Pueblo, where his exceptional leadership helped guide the team to a National Championship in 2014. This achievement later earned him induction into the university’s Hall of Fame. Malcolm now owns a wealth management practice with Principal Financial Group.
He gives back through financial literacy workshops for local high school students, helping the next generation gain confidence and knowledge to manage their futures. Malcolm’s dedication to education, mentorship, and empowerment demonstrates a deep commitment to uplifting others and creating opportunities for success.
A member of Emerging 100 Houston, an organization focused on developing young professionals and supporting the mentoring and community initiatives of the 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston, Inc., Malcolm furthers leadership, service, and positive change throughout his community.
Malcolm is a true leader and community servant, and his ongoing contributions make him a proud example of what it means to be a Giant.
