District Letters and Alerts

This page has been created to keep our community informed with the most current updates. Important and time-sensitive information from the district will be shared here to ensure everyone receives timely and accurate communication.

The best way to report a threat is to Crimestoppers. Reporting information can be found here: https://www.gccisd.net/page/SP.CrimeStoppers. The program allows students and/or school personnel to submit anonymous tips to the administration and local law enforcement about crimes or violations of school rules, and alerts the administration and law enforcement immediately.

You can also contact the Goose Creek Police Department or your campus administration directly with any questions or concerns.

In case of an emergency, please call 9-1-1.

Threat Notice - Baytown Junior
01/08/2026

3:15 PM

Dear Baytown Junior Families,

We want you to be aware that a student made a threat on campus today. The administration team was notified, and the student was immediately removed from the classroom. The GCCISD Police Department was informed of the incident and began an investigation. The student has since been suspended from campus and charged with making a terroristic threat.

Parents of the students directly involved in or affected by the threat have been contacted by campus administration.

Students must understand that misguided actions have consequences. We want to remind our students of the importance of adhering to the district’s Student Code of Conduct, which can be found in the 2025-2026 Student Handbook. If students are found to have violated the Student Expectations and/or Standards of Conduct, disciplinary action will be taken.

It is our duty to ensure our students and staff are safe on school premises. We urge our students to make sound choices regarding their education and behavior in the district, and to report any concerns to a teacher or administrator. Students can anonymously report information to Crimestoppers using the P3 campus application, which also allows students to report information to their campus administrators. If you see something, say something.

Sincerely,

Judy Mackyeon

Principal, Baytown Junior School
