Cody Patterson
Giant Student of the Month
Our Giant Student of the Month for March 2026 is Cody Patterson, a senior at Robert E. Lee High School.
Cody is a beacon of motivation and persistence. No matter what hardships he encounters, he continues to strive for excellence with a drive to be successful in every facet of life. A dedicated athlete for his entire high school career, he has balanced the physical demands of football and track while taking an active role in his education as a dual credit student.
Beyond the field, Cody is an essential part of the campus yearbook staff. His passion for photography is evident in his initiative; he worked hard outside of school hours to fund and purchase his own professional equipment. Whether he is competing or capturing the action of other sporting events for the UIL journalism team, his presence is a constant at campus activities.
Cody stands out not just for his involvement, but for his character. He is known by teachers and peers as a selfless, polite, and mature leader who frequently checks in to see how he can help others. This helpful nature allows him to fill any void needed on campus, often picking up extra tasks without being asked. His ability to apply classroom concepts to real-world scenarios and his willingness to ask thoughtful questions demonstrate a high level of academic curiosity.
While his academic and extracurricular record would grant him entry into numerous colleges, Cody has chosen a path of service. Following graduation, he will enlist in the United States Navy, carrying with him the discipline and positive attitude he cultivated in Goose Creek CISD.
Cody was selected as our Giant Student of the Month because he never lets doubt hold him down. He remains a wonderful friend and an even better role model, proving that with a good head on your shoulders and a spirit of service, there are no limits to what a Giant can achieve.
