Melina Arriaga

Giant Student of the Month

Our Giant Student of the Month for April 2026 is Melina Arriaga, a senior at Impact Early College High School and a standout student within the Goose Creek CISD community.

Melina is remarkable. She balances a rigorous academic schedule with significant professional and extracurricular commitments. Currently ranked in the top 20 of her class, she has earned membership in both the National Honor Society at Impact and Phi Theta Kappa at Lee College. Her dedication to her studies is matched only by her initiative on campus, where she founded "The Pokemon Club" to provide a welcoming space for her peers.

In addition to her academic success, Melina is a talented photographer and a vital member of the district’s PR Squad, a team of student advocates who seek and share stories of success and celebration. This year, she serves as a student worker for the Marketing and Public Relations department at Lee College, where her supervisors praise her as a mature, responsible leader who meets every deadline and consistently goes the extra mile.

Beyond her professional and academic roles, Melina is known for her kind and inclusive spirit. She is described as an inspiration to those around her, always willing to help others and approaching every challenge with a positive attitude. As she prepares to transition to university, she leaves behind a legacy of service, leadership, and excellence.

Melina was selected as our Giant Student of the Month because of her ability to excel across multiple environments while maintaining the highest standards for herself. She truly embodies what it means to be an Impact student and a leader in our community.
