Congratulations to Monique Miles on being named the new Director of Educational Technology.

Monique Miles brings more than 20 years of experience in public education and a strong commitment to student learning, instructional excellence, and innovation.
Throughout her career, Ms. Miles has served as a classroom teacher, instructional specialist, academic assessment and data coordinator, curriculum support leader, and, most recently, Elementary Educational Technology Specialist for Goose Creek CISD, where she supported 17 campuses. She has led professional learning initiatives, supported the implementation of digital learning, and worked alongside educators to create engaging learning environments that balance innovation with strong instructional practices.
A recognized leader in educational technology, Ms. Miles has contributed to educational initiatives at both the state and local levels. She served on the Texas Education Agency's Proclamation 2022 Review Committee, participated in revising the Texas Technology Applications Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), and has presented at regional and state conferences on technology integration and instructional design. Most recently, she received the Outstanding Commitment to Excellence and Innovation in Digital Learning Award from the Texas Digital Learning Association.
Ms. Miles is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Instructional Systems Design and Technology at Sam Houston State University. She holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Theater Arts from the University of Houston–Downtown.
As Director of Educational Technology, Ms. Miles will lead Goose Creek CISD's efforts to ensure technology remains a purposeful tool that supports teaching, learning, and student success while keeping high-quality instruction and meaningful teacher-student relationships at the center of the learning experience.
