Brigitte Clark returned to Goose Creek CISD as chief financial officer in 2021, after having served as the district’s director of finance from 2013-2016. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, after having served as lead finance executive in both a large, urban school district and another; which has extensive Chapter 313 agreements. She oversees all aspects of finance and accounting, including payroll, budgeting, accounts payable, risk management, and tax services. 

 
Several of Clark’s noteworthy accomplishments include realizing millions in interest savings for taxpayers from recent bond transactions, receiving the “Superior” rating for Schools FIRST, receiving Certificates of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from GFOA and ASBO, maintaining AAA/Aaa credit ratings, and receiving the Purchasing Award of Merit from TASBO. Additionally, the department launched the popular “Business Services University” to provide support and financial training to departments and campuses.

Clark received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston – Downtown and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston. She is also a certified public accountant and is affiliated with numerous organizations such as Texas Range Investment Program, Government Finance Officers Association, and Texas Association of School Business Officials.
