Illeanna Ramirez

Giant Student of the Month

Our Giant Student of the Month for September 2022 is Lee High School junior-Illeanna Ramirez. Illeanna is very involved. She is in the National Honor Society, on the PR squad, and competes in UIL. Last year, she was the president of the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy and placed in the top 25 at the National Technology Student Association (TSA). TSA is a national student organization created to develop skills in science, technology, engineering, and math and aims to develop leadership, academic, and business management skills in the workplace.

Illeanna is also a Lee High School Celebrity, the school’s dance team. Being in the top 20% of her class, she was awarded “Sophomore of the Year” by the Kiwanis Club. Outside of academics, Illeanna plays soccer and runs cross country. Illeanna is described as an overcomer. She struggled with depression and anxiety in junior high but made a commitment to herself in 9th grade to get involved, help others, and focus on school.
