Giant Alumnus of the Month

Our Giant Alumnus of the Month for April 2024 is Gary Young, graduate of Lee High School and dedicated volunteer at Harlem Elementary.

During his time at Lee High School, Gary actively engaged in athletics and was profoundly influenced by exceptional coaches who later became lifelong friends. Following his graduation, he honorably served in the United States Army for over two decades.

Gary found a passion for coaching that ignited a remarkable journey, where he led multiple teams to victory across various schools, including Baytown Christian Academy, Kingwood Christian, and Cristo Rey Jesuit. Despite the demands of a full-time career, Gary's coaching expertise shone brightly, culminating in state tournament appearances and championships.

Gary's impact reverberates throughout his community. From coaching little league teams since the age of 19, to tirelessly supporting the Harlem cheerleaders, Gary's altruism knows no bounds. His unwavering dedication to enhancing the lives of others extends to volunteering at Harlem Elementary events, where he ensures every detail contributes to the success of the occasion.

Through his outstanding contributions, Gary Young exemplifies the spirit of leadership and service, leaving an indelible mark on all who have had the privilege of crossing his path.
