KPRC's scholarship committee surprised Goose Creek Memorial High School senior, Jennifer Monier Mendez as one of 20 distinguished recipients of their scholarship checks this season, Mendez was nominated for her exemplary academic achievements and community involvement.

Joined by KPRC's Anthony Yanez and Mariah Gardner, along with Jacob Colby from the scholarship’s sponsor, American Furniture Warehouse, the presentation was a moment of celebration and recognition for Mendez's outstanding contributions. Mendez has not only excelled academically but has also demonstrated a profound commitment to serving her community. Her passion for learning and dedication to making a positive impact have truly set her apart.

As she stood in gym, amidst her peers, Mendez expressed her gratitude for the honor, acknowledging the support of her family, teachers, and mentors who have been instrumental in her journey. Goose Creek CISD along with their community partners, KPRC and American Furniture Warehouse, remains committed to empowering the next generation of leaders and scholars, and Mendez undoubtedly embodies the spirit of excellence and promise.
