Giant Alumnus of the Month

Our Giant Alumnus of the Month for November 2024 is Stephanie Schrull, a proud graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and dedicated Social Studies Department Chair at Goose Creek Memorial High School.

Stephanie Schrull has made an extraordinary impact on her students across Goose Creek CISD, teaching both at her alma mater, Robert E. Lee High School, and now at Goose Creek Memorial. As a finalist for the State of Texas History Teacher award, Stephanie exemplifies a commitment to education and inspires her students through engaging, hands-on learning. Her dedication has guided many students to excel in history competitions, with several advancing from the State to the National History Fair.

Beyond academics, Stephanie’s heart for service shines through her role as Student Council sponsor, where she leads students in meaningful service projects, teaching them the importance of community involvement. Deeply committed to the school community, she actively supports initiatives like the Giving Tree program, which aids families during the holiday season, and organizes Christmas on Main Street, collaborating with various school clubs to make the event a success.

Stephanie chose to stay in Baytown because of her love for the district that molded her into an educator and leader. Her colleagues speak highly of her exceptional leadership, her ability to build strong connections, and her positive impact on students and staff alike. As a role model, Stephanie instills in her students not only a love for history but also a lifelong spirit of service.
