Giant Alumnus of the Month

Our Giant Alumnus of the Month for September 2025 is Michelle Fountain-Carr, a proud Robert E. Lee High School graduate.

Michelle has demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to her community through her service as the former President/CEO of Liberty County Teachers Federal Credit Union and Devers ISD School Board member. Her professional achievements reflect a career built on integrity, service, and dedication to others.

Beyond her leadership roles, Michelle has made a lasting impact by openly sharing her personal journey as an individual with a 3D-printed prosthetic arm. As a passionate advocate for public education, she connects with students in powerful and meaningful ways. At the STEM Academy at Lee High School, she inspired learners by showing how their studies in science and technology directly connect to real-world innovations like her prosthetic. She also shared her story with students at the RSS Health Science Academy, motivating future healthcare professionals through her resilience and advocacy.

Michelle’s dedication—both through her professional accomplishments and her willingness to empower the next generation—has made her a respected leader and a true role model within her community.
