Endorsements

Under House Bill 5, entering ninth-graders for the 2014-2015 academic year will declare an “endorsement” in one of five areas of study: science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), business and industry, public services, arts and humanities, and multidisciplinary studies.

This repackaging of the graduation-requirement formula will better define students’ high school careers, even noting these focused areas of study on their transcript and diploma.
