SCTHS Car Show Cruises to Success
03/25/2022

Cars lined up at car show

The Stuart Career Technical High School annual car show took place on March 19th. The car show was postponed for two years due to the pandemic, but this year’s event more than made up for it. Baytown car lovers competed for the top car show categories such as Best of Show, Best Hotrod, Best Import and more.

Auto Tech instructor, Jim Ornelas, was proud of his students and thankful for the support of the community.

“Everything went well. It was a success,” he said. “We had nearly 30 students volunteer and I truly believe they got something out of it. The drivers were very impressed.”

The car show was a SCTHS family affair. The event was a collaborative effort between the Auto Technology and Collision Repair and Refinishing departments. The Culinary Arts team, led by Chef Kylie Sobczak, fed the guests a feast of hotdogs, hamburgers and drinks. In total, 11 trophies were given distributed.
