GCCISD Junior School Athletic Academic Belt 

 

The GCCISD Athletic Academic Belt is presented to a high school and junior school for their outstanding dedication to the academic achievements of our student athletes. At the end of each report card, our coaches are responsible for compiling the passing rates for every athlete in their designated program, and submitting them to the Athletic Office. They are then ranked by the three high schools, and the six junior highs.

Cedar Bayou has taken over the Athletic Academic Championship belt by posting an insane passing percentage of 98 percent!! The Bears took it back from the EF Green Owls after an end of the year rally took the belt from Cedar Bayou after they held on to it for the previous 18 weeks. All 6 junior highs have been achieving very high passing rates, but the Bears won't be out done. Cedar Bayou Athletics is led by campus coordinators Chris Haney and Stacey Fleming.
