Goose Creek CISD has a lot to celebrate. The district announced its Bilingual and/or ESL District Teachers of the Year during a special celebration process. The teachers were selected from a field of over 47 campus Bilingual/ESL Teachers of the Year to represent the district at the upcoming Houston Area Association for Bilingual Education (HAABE) banquet. The selected district Teachers of the Year will advance to the city-wide competition after earning the same distinction at the district-wide level. Nicole Rivera, Harlem Elementary, was selected as Elementary Bilingual Teacher of the Year. Crystal Garcia, Alamo, was selected as the Elementary ESL Teacher of the Year and Tamarrah (Bambi) Henderson, Baytown Junior, was selected as the Secondary ESL Teacher of the Year.
